We will continue to offer
a competitive program for Boys and Girls in Grades 3-8.
Teams will be broken down into the following age groups
depending upon the number of registered participants and
the availability of volunteer coaches:
- Grades 3-4
(Bantam)
- Grades 5-6
(Junior)
- Grades 7-8
(Senior)
Beginners are welcome in
all age groups!
We have equipment available to loan to players of all
ages!
Please note that this is
a competitive program and involves Ledyard teams playing
against other towns in a combination of home and away
games. Travel to away games will be required and will be
the responsibility of the participant.
The
Registration Fee is $60. ($30 for beginners in Grades 3-6) This fee covers:
- Membership in US
Lacrosse (mandatory for insurance purposes but
includes 4 issues of the US Lacrosse Magazine)
- Participation in
2-4 weekly practice sessions from mid-March through
mid-June (note that the practice schedule, in terms
of the number and duration of sessions will be at
the discretion of the coaching staff but generally
is 2-4 times a week)
- Participation in
games that will occur 1-2 times a week from
mid-April through Mid-June. Games will typically
replace practice sessions.
Please Note: The
Registration Fee DOES NOT include fees associated with
participation in lacrosse jamborees. All associated
jamboree fees charged to participating Ledyard teams
will be divided equally and paid by the participating
members of each team attending the jamboree (in the past
these fees have ranged from $10-$20 per player for each
event with the number of events ranging from 1-3 per
season, depending upon team). Particpation in these
events is optional.
Please download the
registration form or visit the Ledyard Parks and
Recreation Office to register. Registration forms and
check can be left with Ledyard Parks and Recreation or
mailed to the address included on the form.
All pages of the
registration form must be filled out and returned. DO
NOT mail the US Lacrosse membership forms to US
Lacrosse. These must be returned to LYLA to be mailed as
a group. The US Lacrosse Membership fee is included in your LYLA
registration fee.
